Hi,

I've just noticed that Austria and Belgium have been added, which is great , but now I have to edit 289 auctions to include them .

As my items are different weights I can't use bulk edit so it looks like I am in for a busy weekend .

My suggestion is: could we have an 'opt-out' feature for abroad, rather than an 'opt-in', please?

That way all countries that are available could be automatically added and the sellers could opt out of selling to them if they wanted to.

Hope that makes sense, and sorry if I've missed the suggestion elsewhere.

As you are in the UK, and appear to only use Royal Mail, there are only three shipping options open to you - UK, European Union and Worldwide. So if a listing already has shipping to France, Germany, etc. then the price is the same for Belgium and Austria.

So, if you already have shipping set for any EU country all you have to do is add Belgium and Austria as shipping destinations to your current EU countries. You can do this via Bulk Edit.

Not personally keen on 'opt out'. I don't like people assuming they know what I want to do.

My problem is that the items all have different weights, so although, as you say, there are only 3 prices, and at this time only EU countries are involved, each item has to be edited individually.

I do see your point about 'opt-out', but in this instance bulk edit won't work (unless I've been using it the wrong way - which knowing me is certainly a possibility )

I looked at bulk edit too and like the OP maybe I'm doing something wrong too, but you don't seem able to add the extra countries without upsetting the postage costs already listed unless of course all your items weigh the same which in our case don't, so each listing has to be edited seperately

No, on taking a closer look it was not as simple as I thought it would be and it does not look practical to effect the changes that way.

My next (untried) solution would be to export all your listings to a .csv file and make the changes within a spreadsheet or other suitable application.

e.g. replace all occurrences of dk,es,fr with dk,es,at,be,fr

Then close your listings on eBid and upload the modified file.

Don't go and do what Mrs Stupid here did !

I thought, like Astral, that you would just be able to add the countries via bulk edit and merrily went ahead without checking and lost all my overseas postage prices ! Am now having to slowly edit them back in on well over a thousand items !

There needs to be an easy way to add new countries please Gazza for those of us with loads of listings.

Lol - I haven't really used the bulk lister before and that will teach me not to push buttons without checking first !
Done about 500 only about another 800 to go !
