    Default Free Classic Caravan

I've had a letter from the council giving me 14 days to move my caravan. As I only use it for storage & have nowhere else to put it I'm giving it away.I think it's an Abbey*,it's definitely old as it still has the gas mantle! It does need a fair bit of work to restore it as got very damp inside from condensation.(Long story)No,it wasn't me that painted it blue!
*Found out it's probably a Sprite.

    Or Google street view.

Hi Blue , where is it parked that makes the council ask you to move it ?... as far as I know , you are allowed to park on the road ? and obviously if it is on your property they have nothing to do with it...just wondering , really cannot help with the original question......papa.

I'm in the process of searching at the moment,Papa. At first I could only find the highways act & road traffic act. Both had the rider of causing nuisance or obstruction. It's been there for 4 years now causing neither.
However, last night I found the following on the Directgov website.
"you must not park any caravan or motor home on the estate or the area around your home or on any communal parking area without first getting the landlord's permission in writing"
This only applies to Council Housing Estates, how many other people are unaware of this?I'm still trying to find the actual legislation.(Can't get hold of the guy at the council.)

Awww, sweet. Did it used to belong to a smurf?

You'd think the council would have better things to do rather than mess with something thats been there that long without a problem.

It was probably someone who has a grudge against the Blue colour and reported it as being abandoned
