    Default PayPal Micropayments

OK. I'm sure it has been covered before but I can't find it with this stupid forum search engine...

How do you handle PayPal micropayments in eBid? Can you do it without the ability to register more than one PayPal account?

Yes it has been talked about and as far as I remember you can only have one Paypal account here so you need to choose.

There is something disconcerting about Moo talking to Moo!

You can only have one paypal registered here, so choose the one that will be used most often. Then on listings it wouldn't work best for either swallow the extra charge, or leave it off as an option and put it in the description instead, so you can send a paypal invoice from the right account.

We've asked for being allowed to use both accounts within the system several times, but feel free to pile in and try again!!

    Ta both.

Also a little confused as to what type of account you can use it with. In places it says you have to have a business account - I have a premier account. In other places it refers to 'Premier/Business' accounts as though they are considered the same thing.

Can I use it with a Premier account?

I'm pretty sure it was a premier account I transferred to micro. Best bet is "suck it and see". :-)))

I have a Premier + a Personal account with PayPal. The Personal account is being upgraded via conversion to Premier/Business to a Micro-payments a/c.

Have been clearing out my "Subscribed threads" folder and found the following:

Paypals micro payments account is designed for the user who accepts smaller payments. By this i mean instead of the standard payapl fixed fee plus a small %. The micro payments account has a lower standard fee but a higher %. This makes it cheaper for the smaller transaction.

As mentioned above you can upgrade to premier account and then to a micropayments a/c. You will have to do your sums as to which is better as you cant switch backwards and forwards between the two.

Are you saying that you can't have both?

My understanding was that you could have two PayPal accounts and set one to micropayments and leave the other at standard rates. Then, depending on which you directed a buyer to, the rate appicable to that account would be applied.
