Thumbs down WHEN can I move my Ebay listings???

Been a 'member' of this service for almost 5 months now. I have ONE listing here, but around 4000 on Ebay. I tried using this Ninja Lister, but it CHOKED on my listings. I've been told for over a month now - it will be fixed in the next release.

In the meantime, my ONE listing has garnered ZERO sales or questions.

Not bad, considering I paid the $50 for the 'lifetime' membership.

Appears it is going to take me a lifetime to get my listings moved over.

Have you tried breaking your import down into chunks? I had a problem with the NL choking on an import file once and it turned out to be one particular listing. I tried doing the import so many items at a time and all went through except the one that contained the problem listing. I then whittled that one down until I found the one listing causing the problem.

I admit though that it does seem to have been a while since an update was made to the NL. They were coming at the rate of a couple a day at one time.

Thanks Astral. I sent them the file on 5/21, and they were able to replicate the issue. Their response:

Thanks for sending in your data file. I'm glad to say we experienced the same problem which means it is a problem with our application and not your computer. This means it will be much easier for us to find a solution which we are working on today.

When I questioned them a month later, I got this:

My apologies, your bug is being worked on as we speak, it will be fixed in the next release of NL.

Looking for 1 bad item out of 4000.... could be a royal pain, especially without knowing WHAT to look for.

I wasn't suggesting you try to find the one bad item in 4000 as such. More, for example, you export as two lots of 2000 and import each of those. If one goes through and the other fails then the rogue listing is within the group that failed. Split that group again and repeat, eventually (if it is just the one listing) you will end up with a very small group of listings that contains the rogue one.

Of course, it is virtually guaranteed that 5 minutes after completing the exercise the update to NL will appear (if your luck is anything like mine).

I agree Mel...your advice for trying his listings in 'chunks' rather than the whole ball of wax will probably work for him. With that said, I do find it unusual that eBid/admin has not fixed the 'known problem' by now...very unusual for them.

OP, have you emailed them again (and again) to try and nudge them?

Is that the same as a vasectomy?

Definitely not. In that area it would be more of a Bobbit.
