    Default How do I cancel an order ?

    I have a customer that put in a bid and sent me this message
    "i do not want to buy this item it waz a mistake. please do not send it to me thankyou."
    I would like to cancel the order how do I do it?

    the easiest way is to blackball the buyer which then lets you cancel the bid. But don't forget to reinstate her (unless of course you wish to keep her blackballed)

    i would of thought once they place the order they are under contract to pay and finish the contract ?

    Incorrect, and as a business you should know what the DSR's state with the "cooling off period" etc..

    Notwithstanding the DSRs, it's just good manners to cancel an order for a customer who has made a mistake.

    It is also simply realistic. A "buyer" who doesn't want the item is never going to pay so the seller might as well behave sensibly and cancel the order.

    this is true after rereading the original post i understand now and of course keeping within dsr's then it is fair to cancel soz misread it originally my good old dyslexia getting in the way again
