I had that happen to me on feebay I thought it was a one off excuse( I too didnt believe it at the time) but it seems that more than one person has a clever child who can order things on the internet by leaning on the computer. Im sorry that your first sale turned out to be a hoax
I have a question I have jus sold an item to a new buyer who only registered this evening but now has a strikethrough their name. Does this mean that the sale will be cancelled

tbh i am not sure - if they listed as a seller and paid fees i would be certain that they would not cancel - if they were just a buyer then they could easily delete their account - hence a strikethrough

i know someone who had identical listings and had her account put on hold; she ended up with a strike through

as you said they just joined i guess they only had a buyer account and closed it

As for "why do people do that?" ... I don't know ...... maybe too much to drink, then change of mind when sobered up!
Please don't give up, at least it isn't costing you more money to list your items, unlike feepay.

You get NPB's on any site, and I don't understand why some people don't leave negs for NPB's

I too have had same problem with non payers, 4 out of 6 sales in fact! This is certainly a much, much higher ratio than I ever had in years on ebay. It is disheartening, but you just have to hope it will pick up and some good honest folks take the time to look at your listings, not the timewasters who have no intention of ever paying.

That's one of the worst things about the 'Dark Side', you are not allowed to leave a negative! So there is no warning for other sellers about NPBs or other bothersome things buyers can do.
