Default Google Checkout ,No P&P Charge..

    Hi ebid world ,
Google Checkout has not charged my customer for P&P , first time this has happened to me.

Has it happened to you and what did you do ?. Or could it be a ' Glitch of the day ' ?!!.
I've been on Google Checkout pages for over two hours - No help ! ,( sent them a e-mail ), also looked on ebid forums.

Any help appreciated , as I have not yet replied to my customer and would like to A.S.A.P. .

    Thank you ...

Same thing happened to me. It took me a while but I finally found the page where you tick the box to charge entire order instead of just charge order. I guess it changed when they did an upgrade because it had always worked before and I did not go in and change it. Wish I could lead you right to it but it is somewhere in your setup profile one of those pages. Good luck. If I could find it I am sure you can too. Since I am not the most techy person around.

    Hi 'Naturelady' ,
Same here , no 'Techy' at all !!.
It just seems strange , I've had quite a few orders paid by Google Checkout , for 'high' prices ... The order I got today was for £1.50 !! , but no P&P charged for ( £1.99).
I'll wait a while and see if 'The Gods' of ebid reply !! , and check things out later today.
Thank you for your reply ,
    Rob.

Log into Google Checkout > My Account > Sales > Settings > Preferences

    You should see the following:

    Order processing
When I receive a new order...
    • Automatically authorise the buyer's card for the full amount of the order.
    • Automatically authorise and charge the buyer's card.

Email me each time I receive an order, cancellation or other transaction.

I'm not sure which is the correct one though

    Hi Naturelady and Craig ,
Checked Google my Google settings , it was on ' charge buyers card ' , not 'charge buyers card for the full amount ' , so changed it over.
Just seems 'funny' why Google C.O. only charged my customer for the item and no P&P , all the other orders I've had went through fine on the first setting ... Oh well ...

    Its under Settings - Preferences

Right from the start I have always had "Automatically authorise and charge the buyer's card" ticked without any trouble

That's not the same thing as is being talked about in the OP regarding the omission of P&P from the total. That setting merely determines whether the authorisation and charging of the card is carried out at the same time or as two events.

    I have always had
'Automatically authorise the buyer's card for the full amount of the order' ticked and only charge the card when I am ready to ship. Never had any problems with that.

I am aware that PayPal has a setting that can cause it to ignore P&P but can find nothing equivalent on Google.
