    Question

It used to "drive me crazy" too, but I have got used to it now. I have also got bad eye sight, plus I'm colour blind, always thought it
was blue ! On the plus side, it lets me correct spelling mistakes etc, so it is not totally useless.

How long does it take for your listing to appear after you click the post listing button?

Usually within 30 seconds. There have been occasional glitches where the listing isn't visible in all views but everything seems fine ATM. Was that a general query or are you having a problem?

I would like to see this 'Purple Preview Band' half the width to what it is now ... ... ...
it would still do the job that it is meant to do ... ... but would not be driving us crazy.

'The Purple Preview Thing'; sounds like a good title for a kids book.

Has never really bothered me and is an interesting way of providing the buttons anywhere within the listing.

It is not mainstream though so many new users will not be familiar with it and end up confused. It is also not consistent with the way the rest of eBid presents and so may not be found intuitive even within the confines of the eBid site.

So while I have no personal gripes with it I wouldn't moan (at least about that) if it disappeared.

    I don't like it.
I have never seen any other software with such a huge band - its nearly half the screen!
(or in Australian flood terminology its about the size of France and Germany)
It could put some newbies off (What the !)
But its not the end of the world, its only what I call a "cosmetic" thing.

It doesn't bother me, but it's always smacked of "look how clever we are" to me. A solution put in place because the techies are pleased with working out how to do it is rarely the best answer to a problem.
