Wow, Moneybookers sounds really good. Time to add it to my required reading list.

I certainly use both Paypal and Google Checkout for receiving and sending payments. The transaction fees are the same as Paypal. So far, so good.

Thanks, Jan, I'm definitely considering switching to Google checkout, will have to wait and see how things turn out with Paypal.

    @SuesJools

Its obvious there are only 4 payment services worth thinking about
    Paypal, Google, Moneybookers and Paymate.
If you are not happy with Paypal, why not do some research on the other ones.
    They all have websites.
Or join all 4 and let us know how your sales go

Everyone on here says that most of their sales come from Paypal.
Why do Paypal keep doing things to you ?

I my self don't like the idea of depending on one site, but here in NZ we do not have so many options.

Thanks, Julie, for the heads-up on Paymate.

The only problem I have with Paypal is the fact that scammers can use the dispute action to defraud me of goods and money and also hold my sanity hostage while I wait for a ruling from Paypal, after refunding the buyer in full, including shipping, for goods they already received. Plus, the whole Feepay connection bothers me, as Feepay tossed me off back in 2000 with no chance to rebut their assertion that I sold pcs from another continent, (sounds crazy, I know, but it really did happen, apparently my account was hacked - I'm not the best at internet security in the world).

Nuff said. I am going to check into Google and Moneybookers as mentioned, never heard of Paymate either, will have to check that out, too.

As you can see, I have a loooooot of reading ahead of me.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

We have taken about 160 payments through Google although never actually purchased through it. I'm a bit of a fan of it although Karen gets niggled that they nick pennies from us! and sometimes the customer!!

Thanks, Phil, from all the posts so far, it sounds like Google checkout works pretty well.

I think they all nick pennies from us when we're not watching...

Best wishes for many sales to all,
