A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
I think I have a glimmer of what an inline frame hosted on your own webspace might be. It would be like a bookmark or hyperlink within your eBid-hosted description pointing to a piece of text hosted somewhere besides eBid. This sounds like a good idea to be economical with the eBid 4000 character limit, but being a somewhat paranoid person, it made me wonder if this could be misused as similar schemes have been on eBoy.
A seller puts up an image within the description. This image is a piece of text. The auction site itself doesn't host the individual words, only the pointer to the image. Then after the listing closes, if there is trouble between the buyer and the seller, the seller could, if unethical, alter the wording shown in the image. Is this possible with an "inline frame" too?
