We need more boat and marine parts.

I know its not cars, but its the closest to the category I can find.

I was doing a search for boat parts on ebid the other day.

I found 500 boat parts, most of which were similar parts from about two sellers.

On ebay there are 220,000 boat parts !

What are your comments ?

The other day i went to list something and thought I'd do my own comparison.A search on ebay found 1540 items and on here 20, 11 of which were run till solds and 5 were priced so high that they'll be on here long after Nelson gets his eye back.
I've listed my item on here but it already looks like a waste of time as buyers wont be looking on here in any great numbers.
I have some boat stuff,anchors and things but if I list them they'll be about as lonely as the last dodo was,and probably end up going the same way.

I know how you feel, as you say your boat anchors would be lonely.

But how can we get people to list more boat parts ?

I honestly don't know Julie,I wish I did.
As you say my anchors would be lonely and realistically it's a waste of time listing them on here as I know hand on heart they do not have a realistic chance of selling.

I think the problem is that ebid is mainly full of people who have loads of stuff to sell but aren't doing it as a proper business.It doesn't really matter how long their stuff takes to sell as they have another income and what they get for their auctions is just tax free pin money.

I've put some items up.At the moment they are rather lonely.About as much chance of being sold as Gadhaffi being named statesman of the year.

well it is a field that isnt over crowded. and would do very well for the right parts person looking to pioneer in this field i will ask around about maybe moving some of there inventory over here on ebid

As I can see we can list anything and everything what we can find and still doesn’t matter because buyer’s don’t follow many seller’s in here…because many don’t know for eBid and without all over advertising we are still where we are beginning of this year for about buyer’s…many in here have the sales but how much we list and what we list and from which price this is far away how much and how many buyers on eBay buying and paying…I list in here hard to find cheap Cards and stickers for $1.00 plus shipping for $1.00 and with no more charge for the shipping if anyone buy 2 or more in one time and still many go on eBay and pay for exactly same card or stickers $3.00 plus shipping $3.00 plus with extra charge for multiple items…for my postcards and decal stickers I just don’t mention much how much I selling cheaper from eBay similar or same items sellers selling and still buyers buying….so if I list high priced items will be same story even if I list much cheaper…and all this is happening because many don’t know for eBid existence…in other way if we keep buying much only from each other this is not answer for this auction site…In the end how eBid operates I don’t see much moving up for abut buyers I don’t count YDC stuff and buying from each other…but I will still list day to day instead of posting 20 or 30 threads every 24 hours and hopping management will change the mind…
