Yes, there are categories on eBid that need more listings.

Existing sellers here can only list whatever it is that they've got to sell. That goes without saying.

Do any of the sellers here have any suggestions as to how sellers in these other categories could be encouraged to list their goods on eBid?

The only thing that I can think of is for people chatting on other forums to mention (without spamming) eBid and try to generate some interest that way.

I just don't know. But, it would sure be something for eBid to be built into a worldwide venue that would rival the site that must not be named here.

‘’…don’t make mistake many visit eBid and search for everything in here how is works and all other stuff considering only how we are doing in here about sales, listing, and helpful tools which exist on other side of the planet…and in my opinion too what some of bigger sellers’ who has all that items which we don’t have listed right now in here that all sellers’ see and read and we have already answer for that in way of numbers of items, numbers of filling categories, and numbers of sales and for how much we selling own stuff…many of this visitors has many items and very different items for sale on eBay and has very big inventory of the items but in other way many of this peoples have invested bigger personal money in own items so in other words that items can be listed only in place where is the best chance to sell that items quick and where is bigger traffic without ’’waiting’’ because that sellers’ not have time for chit-chat or personal advertising and in same time sit down on pile of $10.000 or more invested own money in the items…’’

So how we can ‘’encouraged’’ that particular sellers’ who has that items but in other way that particular sellers’ invest bigger money in that own items and NEED TO BE SOLD QUICK…NO time for personal advertising, NO time for chit-chat, NO time for suggestions…just list and SOLD quick, pay the higher fees if have to but SOLD QUICK and move on for another items…...

I thought I'd have a look at the over a quarter million items in the "Cars and vehicles" section.
Just under 40 were actually cars.
Wow,spoilt for choice or what?.
Ebid could get rid of the overpriced run till solds and the stuff in wrong categories.Numbers would fall but at least it saves prospective buyers trawling through heaps of junk.I'm sure thats what chokes off so many who come on the site but vanish after a short while never to return,

I think the members on here expect a lot from "the boys"

Every day I see posts letting people to email them over every little thing and requests they post on different threads. I'm sure the reason some improvements take so long to be done to the site is because the have to spend so much time replying to emails and reading forum posts

That's what companies have staff for.

And I agree with you forget all the small things for a while.
Just do that major things that would attract more sellers and buyers and help make some sales.

I don't have a marine store as such but I sell clothing,gloves and souwesters for the sailor or fisherman.I don't know if it's allowed to put a link on here but you can find it easily by typing "Baconsdozen" in Google.
I also sell older imperial tools,perfect for old marine engines.
I also list both the tools and clothing on ebid and pick up a few sales.
