Hello hemm3282! I would suggest offering Google Checkout on your items for sure. As for PPPay, I have read differing opinions here in the forum for that method of payment acceptance. As for me, I accept PayPal, Google Checkout, USPS money orders.

Moneybookers is pretty good. I have been using it for around three months, no problems. Also cheaper fees than Pay Pal.

Agree with Mary, Google checkout seems to work well, (though I've never used it meself, I've heard a lot of good things about it on the forum from those who have), and the fees are similar to Paypal's.

Some eBid sellers also use Moneybookers/Skrill, but it's not yet integrated into eBid.

You do have a very nice About Me page - well done!

Best wishes for many sales to all,

    Hello Mark,
A huge welcome to the forums from me!

I have read about alternative methods of online payments, but to be perfectly honest -
Buyers trust Paypal, to send their money to a seller. Why wouldn't they?
I know when I buy anything online and pay with Paypal, my purchase and payment will be honoured.
If not - file a dispute.
I have had to do this, and although it takes forever for them to sort it, at least you do get your dough back.

Out of all my sales, I think almost everyone paid via Paypal ...
... excepting one bod that sent cash in envelope.
Envelope was too heavy ... insufficient postage paid by buyer...
Result: I got a demand from Royal Mail for £1.20 or something similar to enable me to collect the letter.
    The item sold was £0.99p.
Needless to say I didn't collect the letter,
Emailed buyer to tell them that their letter (plus cash) was being detained at head post office , 40 minutes drive there and back for me to collect.
    Buyer said .. forget it.
    Result?
My first neutral comment ..." never received item due to post office".Boo!

I dislike Poopal immensely with their greedy seller fees, but until someone comes up with a 100% positive method of payment that you and especially your buyer are happy with, I guess we are stuck with it.
BTW - have tried most of the other sites, as I have been selling online since Dinasaur eggs hatched ...

I don't know about UK transaction fees for Paypal & Google Checkout, but the USA fees on Google Checkout are cheaper than Paypal at the moment.
