opinion on format of my blinds shop

can any one have a butchers and tell me what you think of the format - ive only uploaded a few sizes for now and get opinions before i go in at the deep end

i do made to measure blinds (normally go round peoples houses and measure and show them fabrics and fit) now trying to do it online

the idea is to choose a fabric from the online folder (match to picture for pirce band)

im going to make more catergories in the shop (i.e blinds up to size)

to make it easier ive listed that i can quote and create listing

im also going to create listings on different fabrics colours - just gonna take time - the online book gives ppl a good idea of the fabric colours but when i have taken pics / scanned the colour has been shades different

any suggestions would be great

I would be much more interested in your blinds if you:
1) had one listing per type of fabric. and within that gave the price for different sizes.
2) had some sort of color chart for the fabrics, and patterns, and explain there why one fabric is better than another.
3) listed also in inches
There are just too many options that look all alike. I don't want to plow through them all to find what I'd want. I'm all in favor of the Keep it Simple method.
Trouble is, you will never get an accurate color chart because 1) it takes a great deal of effort and color matching to get your sample colors to show correctly on your computer monitor, and 2) everyone's monitors are different!!

As the colour is one of the most important variables you could include a Sample Service.

For example the option to receive 3 very small fabric samples.

You would need to charge a nominal fee to prevent time wasters (may be just the cost of P & P)

This would also help to encourage dialogue with any potential customers.

Its just an idea, you may not agree.

Good idea....unless I was ordering pure white, I would want to see a sample first to match it to the room.

The chances are that most questions have been answered, and opinions given at some time.

I just thought that mentioning the option of a sample might have been helpful to the OP.

My point is, has the OP taken notice of the opinions voiced the first time around? It may well be so, since I only glanced at the listing as I said - but it seemed equally possible that people were having their time wasted repeating advice that had already been ignored. I didn't want folks banging their heads against a brick wall, that sort of thing puts people off offering help when it would really be useful. As I say, I haven't researched this case so it could be that it's a whole new scenario - no probs there.
