Unhappy Can someone point me in the right direction......

I've just used the 'My Bulk Edit' feature (for the 1st time), to change the 'postal' charges on a quantity of items.

All the overseas 'interntional' postal prices changed fine - no problems....

But my local (Australian) postal charges remained as before....

Is there a setting for changing that - (in 'My Bulk Edit') 'cause I couldn't see one..... (or am I just goin' blind?)

Help with this would be much appreciated....

It appears to be under Change Handling Fee Only? for some strange reason.

I hope you saved a backup of your listings before you started.

Backup? - No I didn't... But all went well.... like you said, it was under the "Change Handling Fee Only" tab.

I take it that backing up is advisable? - Is there a chance of loosing your listings?

(I do have them in my Ninja lister though) - but if I'd made the ads in eBid's normal lister, I take it that you'd need to ensure they were backed up first?

eBid's Bulk Edit is a powerful tool but it has no rollback facility. So, if you make a mess or it goes wrong then it pays to have a copy of where you started from. Then, rather than having to try and fix the mess (if you can), you can just repost from the backup to take you back to a known good state.

If you have them in NL then you can count that as a backup, but I would still export from eBid prior to doing a Bulk Edit as then I can be sure that everything is current. It takes seconds to do the export and can save hours of grief. Plus, two backups are better than one.

I'll raise the odd captioning as a bug.

Thanks for that advice - yes I can imagine the grief if things went wrong.....

One other thing if you could help me (it's probably very simple & obvious - but I just don't get it).....
    ... When you copy a section of some-one's post (ie: a Quote) - there's a pointer

If you Copy/Paste the text then you will not get the back link. You need to use the Reply With Quote link at the bottom-right of the original message.
