Default How to put links in posts?

Another silly newbie question--I see so many of you have links to your stores in posts. How do I make the link to insert it in the post--or anywhere. Thanks. Mary Ann

If you just post the address from your browser address bar into your message, it will be automatically translated. It's not pretty that way though. If you use the little globe icon above the reply box it will do a nicer, neater version.

If you want to put a link on *every* post, you need to set up your signature, via "settings" top right.

OK. I'll give the avanced answer.

If you just want a clickable link, just pasting the link into your message or signature will work. For example, http://merrygoround.ebid.net/

However, if you want to control the clickable text and have a live link that says "Merry-Go-Round Great Deals on barely used Kids' stuff," You can do that too.

To do that, you use the Clickable link text construct. For the link above, it looks like this:

Merry-Go-Round Great Deals on barely used Kids' stuff

Thanks so much! You explain things very easily and clearly and I appreciate that. I'll get to work on it. Mary Ann

If you're looking for "settings" to put a signature in your forum posts, you need to look on the forum page top right. Your second post after this pasted from your my ebid area, which is the wrong side of the site.
