I was walking down the street with a blonde yesterday. I said look at the dead bird. She looked up in the sky and said. Where?

I was once asked in my shop " excuse me have you got this knitting pattern with a different baby pictuer on it as I don't like the baby on this one" Also had one woman come in and ask if the embroidery silks in the window where free, when I asked he what she ment she said don't you know the meaning of the word.

One of the more shocking things asked of me when I worked in a rather large hardware store...One day a pretty young (10?) black girl dressed in a cute sundress, approached me and asked if I could help her.
(This was in the days when workers actually waited on people)
I of course said "Sure!"
She then proceeded to hike her dress up and said "Can you tighten this"
Lordy!!
Then I looked and saw that she had an artificial leg!
She told me that a screw that placed tension on the knee joint was loose and guided me as to how to fix it.
So there I was with my head up under this young girls dress with a screwdriver and a wrench ratcheting away at her knee.
All my buds in the store just howled!
I'll never forget that.
Just another day in retail sales.
