    @Ziiggyka11

I think I have suggested to you before that ebid may not be the best place to sell tools.

On your About Me page you say you have sold a lot on another site.
Why not list some of your better stuff on ebid and give it a good chance.
Surely if you can't sell your stuff on the biggest alt site, there may be something wrong with what or how you are listing.

In April I only made one sale for .99 and that wasn't enough to cover my listing fees. That was my first try with ebid , so I was disappointed. Not sure if I will continue to try to list here or not yet. I did get a good amount of views on some of the items though.

    Welcome to ebid!

Surely that is the key, getting some views, on another big site some people say that it is hard to get views.

You may wish to add some info about you and out selling policies in your About Me page, somepeople like to know a bit about who they are buying from.

The key to selling on ebid is to join as a Seller+ for lifetime, then you have no more listing fees at all (unless you pay for enhancements)
Then you have have gallery pics (with ony a 2% fvf if they sell)
Making your listings with a BIN sends them to Google Shopping and they will rise in the browsing lists and get seen even more.
And make sure you list your good stuff on ebid and fair prices.

Also on About Me pages most sellers on ebid seem to be cats and a few dogs.
I like to see who I am buying from, I wonder if others do.

Sometimes when buying from someone new, its a matter of trust.
    I'm just thinking.

    Hi

Not including the YDC sales i've had, i sold 15 things in April, so not too bad at all.
My sales have been really good on ebay in April too.

Hopefully things will pick up for others soon too.

Ziggy, I went and visited your listings this morning...you are selling items that are very "buyer-specific". While it's true sales are down somewhat, I well imagine that they are also down on other selling venues as well. Here in the states the economy is getting pretty bad...heck, even I am cutting back on my 'splurges' ... money is tight everywhere and will more than likely get worse in months to come.

The fees on other selling sites are beyond ridiculous, so as for me, I will continue to list, hang tough with eBid, and hope for times to get better.

Have just counted my sales for March and April - I knew they were down in April without counting:

    March - 26 sales
    April - 7 sales

However, 2 buyers accounted for a large proportion of March sales; April saw some new buyers which is always good.

Must get plugging - haven't done that for ages.

Same her but have picked up in the last few days, 3 sales this week. The nature of my items that I sell and the warmer weather traditionally seem to mean that I sell less during the summer months, they always pick up around late August and Sepember, so I usually concentrate on adding to stock items in the quieter months and enjoy the Summer while waiting for the sales boom once the weather turns. Im happy with this site id like to sell more but at least im not paying riduculous fees to list even if items dont sell im still in profit, unlike the other sites where lack of sales stil meant high fees. What have you got to lose nothing i would say once you have paid your liftetime seller fees you are quids in
