    Like I say many times anybody can see which items is most left eBay in the past after eBay go up with fees and that mean items with low price doesn’t matter what seller’s selling and that mean items in range of couple cents to couple $$$, because of very high fees and seller’s investing money on each like this item is very hard to have any profit after you sell or you need to sell a ‘’millions’’ item each month to make something…
    For now many sellers still with similar items on Ebay but many no more have store in eBay for like this item because of fee for each listing which go from $0.05 to $0.20 per item and plus monthly fee for store doesn’t matter if seller sell something or not…and now similar sellers who stay in eBay just list regularly on free days but if selling low priced item charge for the shipping couple times more from selling price of each item a sample for each ‘’card’’ price is $0.99 shipping $3.00 to $3.50 and many sell in that way with combine shipping but many still charge extra couple cents for each item and now eBay is going to take fee on shipping charges too….eBay is greedy and protect only buyers and know exactly shipping for one card is not more of $0.44 to $0.99 or any not heavy item shipping is always very low and that is true…many still selling but many not have anymore that big profit or sell that many items like before, and many like this item end up on all other auction sites low price items and not heavy items and that is the only reason why we have in here that much percents of like this items…For me personally I don’t see nothing wrong with small price item or similar stuff even for that stuff if we can swing buyers from there to over here we can make it because many buyers still buying this stuff and I know for myself where before I selling similar stuff on eBay for each day worth $250 and small items with small price is exactly items who lift up eBay world wide before, Buyers in here can find better deal much better deal for similar stuff and we need ‘’only’’ to let know many buyers this stuff is in here and exactly similar stuff have better deal from eBay a 10 times better…In the end this is like always only my personal opinion and opinion for only low priced items and only reason why many left Ebay with that stuff and end up with all other auction sites….All other bigger stuff for much bigger selling price still on eBay and only difference is now many sellers not have anymore that big profit like before but still can make profit because of high traffic and this is only reason why many still selling on eBay because of high traffic….AMEN……...

    I haven't asked Julie, but I believe Gazza is aware of the issue. Whether anything get done remains to be seen.

    Never be a rival for Ebay. Might be ok for selling junk out of your attic, and part time penny auctions, but not a good place if you are a serious business seller.

    Well as many wiser members have said before me, "eBid does not suit ever one".

    For some people it works for others it does not.

    To me it smacks of sour grapes to call other peoples items junk.

    Just my own opinion.

    That may well be a view shared by quite a few, especially if making a direct comparison with eBay's high volume through put of newly manufactured items.
    Others have aspirations that eBid can supplant eBay.
    Yet others believe it may go part way to becoming a viable alternative for buyers and sellers, but not ever totally eclipsing eBay.

    What it becomes - only time will tell.
    What it becomes may be partly due to the efforts of those members who help build it.
    (Just as those in the past have helped build it into its current form).
    But what it becomes is also dependant on what Gazza and Mark want it to become.
    They have their own expectations, known only to themselves.
    Their own expectations may even change over time.

    Slower sustainable growth (or even just 'ticking over' or being viable) may be all they are after given the complexity involved in engineering such a site. Too much growth too quickly could have the whole show crashing in a heap due to overload.

    That aside, the way to getting the 'beast' up and really breathing would be by injecting intense advertising over a sustained period to target both new sellers and buyers (simultaneously so that both 'arrive together'). - Expensive, but if done right would
    quickly take eBid to a new level.

    3. Big Expensive Advertising?
    2. Slow sustainable growth?
    1. Mere subsistance with feeble heartbeat?
    or somewhere in between?

    Ask 10 people how they see eBid progressing, and you'd probably get 10 different answers.

    As it stands, it definately caters well for:
    * Retired folk,
    * Part time workers,
    * Those who want a hobby,
    * Those who like to be part of a friendly community via the forums,
    * Those who want to diversify their selling outlets trying to gain more market share,
    * Those who are hopeful and view eBid as a potential investment for the future,
    * Those who have nothing better to do and want a challenge.
    * There are also a number who may make a reasonable income, though they are the minority.

    Well that's my rant ....... What's yours?
