Thread: Back in now - Excited - PASSED

  1. #1

Default Back in now - Excited - PASSED

Took my Theory test yesterday (19th May 2011) Kept it all to myself didn't want to tell anyone but the new news is I passed but only just. Girlfriend is putting me on her Insurance for her Vauxhall Tigra. So now I can drive to work and drive down and see her more often.

    Was out celebrating.
Don't walk in front of me..I may not follow-don't walk behind me..I may not lead-just walk beside me and be my friend.

Well done old boy...........thats gonna knock the insurance through the roof.
Mind you I wouldn't (If I had one) let my girlfreind drive my car or share my insurance.
One knock or scratch and that might be the end of a loving relationship,
you may lose more than your gaining.

I was going to say the same thing. You need to pass your theory before you can take your practical test right?

Anyway, I was exactly the same when I was taking both my Theory and my Practical parts - I didn't tell anyone about them. Its a great feeling when you can tell everyone you've passed!

    Congratulations mate.

The "only just" passed bit concerns me. Are you really ready to be let loose on the road? Slow down Craig, get proper instruction, in a dual controlled car with an experienced instructor. A car in the wrong hands is a lethal weapon, treat it with respect.

Practiced on Theory test for 2hrs at a time for 1 month except when at work, which was easy part the pass rate was 44 I got 45 correct, with my confidence and road sense I should pass practical when I take it next month.

But if you ain't passed the practical test then you may need to reconsider what you say in post 1, and depending on the insurance company they may not
    a)insure men
    b) insure drivers with no full licence
    c) if they do then the premium will go into space if the truth is told
    d) be careful as if you do get put on her insurance, there is a lot of policies that state that you can only drive a car with the owners permission if
    1) that car don't belong to you or spouse / partner
    2) has an outright insurance premium of it's own in another drivers name
    3) you have Written permission to drive vehicle
    4) you have xyz years experience
    5) anything else that might lower the insurance companies risk

Can you PM the company name or post on here as that company sounds very good if that is the correct price, I will then get Paul to check to see if they can beat his £454 quote and he has 3 years ncb, but does have 3 points, but has 6 years driving experience
