I also leave positive feedback as soon as payment is in my pocket.
Buyer has done their part, however If I waited for most buyers to post feedback I most likely wouldn't post + feedback.
To many just buy and go on their way, however that's the nature of the beast.

Exactly. As many have said you can't force feedback to be given to you, I guess the best thing is to continue to offer an excellent service and give feedback as you would expect to receive it. Its not a foolproof method of getting feedback but on the plus side at least you're making some sales from the site

All the best for the future.

I've sold two items since joining. When the buyer paid I left feedback straight away, but I haven't received any back yet.

So with only one feedback as a buyer and none as a seller, my store is looking like no one is working in it.

I think a lot depends on how the buyer arrives at eBid. If they arrive via a lead from Google Products then they are often not regular auction site buyers. This means they treat the transaction like any other purchase on the internet. Feedback is an auction site creation (by eBay). Outside of that arena all the buyer expects is to get the goods they paid for in a timely manner. They are not bothered about giving or receiving feedback - it is not a part of the transaction.

Admittedly it is nice to get but I feel too much weight is placed on receiving it. If the buyer does not come back with a complaint then...Everybody Happy!!!

You are probably correct, Not everyone likes to leave feedback

While I do not agree that the buyer has done everything I expect of them once they have paid, I leave it just then - because on here, should they turn out to be bad (which is not something which has ever happened on here after payment) then I can change the feedback.

However, like everyone else has said, I don't get anything like everyone leaving it.

While I said earlier that feedback is not a part of a normal transaction, I have noticed shops have started asking for it. Boots, Argos, and Asda have recently given me a slip on checkout - asking for me to complete an online feedback on service received. I hope that is not a new trend.

As a seller . . . I leave feedback right after I ship the item.
As a buyer . . . I leave feedback after I've checked the item to be sure it is as described and there's no damage.
As for feedback . . . I don't have an exact count, but I think we get feedback for about one-third of our sales and 100% of our purchases.
