    Default Bitcoins

Anyone else want to see ebid accept bitcoins?

There is a large community that would help with the technical end of things.

If figure at the auction end the winner is provided with a bitcoin address and a number of bitcoins to be provided within 24 hrs (converted from local currency). After that it's just like a cash/cheque transaction except waaaaay faster!

Please comment if you are for it or have concerns!

I would like to be able to buy and sell bitcoins via ebid. Bitcoins would attract new ebid users.

How could it be faster than paypal instant payment? What is the benefit to buyer and seller? Why spend money to buy money substitute?? I'm just not familiar with this sytem......never heard of it. Is it a US and Canada thing?

Here is a link to what Wikipedia has to say about Bitcoins. Link From what I read about it, I wouldn't be interested in using it.

    This could be the reason.

    Sounds a bit questionable.

Thanks for the links, I'd never heard of it either.

It may be OK, but I'll stick with Paypal.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

most people use bitcoins to pay for things like drugs on tor networks as the person that pay`s for the item and the person that gets the payment can not be tracked down i would say that 99% of payment made on the internet with bitcoins is because the buyer and seller do not wish to be tracked down like people buying drugs on the silk road site on the tor networks i dont know why this post was started a site like ebid is a site where people like to know they can get a refund and not have payments end up in the pocket of crime groups

If eBid began accepting Bitcoin payments, they would be entering a gigantic untapped market. With a simple escrow service, BTC could be the gamechanger allowing ebid to truly rival eBay. There is no doubt about it.
