Will ebid ever sell out to ebay like gumtree and paypal ,and who knows, who else have done(think this is correct)..i'm sure if this site starts to make in roads in to their profits..they will seek to squash it ..mainly by absorbing it! ....hope it doesn't happen .

I think it would be a short sighted thing to do, even though it might seem very tempting at the time.....i think ebay is undermining itself bit by bit, with it's outrageous costing schemes and rules ....it is universally loved and loathed.....but many would leave it for something fairer .

I had this thought the other night, and I was just about to say it on a thread that got pulled off. It has been known for a company to buy another company just to disolve it and therefore disolve any threat/s.. Everything is for sale at the right price.

I really hope it doesnt happen.

I see what you mean, but I think their policies empower the buyer, making it a buyers market. Why would a buyer shop anywhere else? And as long as you have customers, you have sellers!

I don't know the answer, and even if I did there ain't much I could do about. So no point in me worrying about such a thing
