Anyone got the Focus bargains

Just been hearing about this on a radio station last night, someone bought three and half thousand pounds worth of stuff for about seventy quid with the closing down discounts.

So anyone on here got any great deals or planning to get any when the store in their area closes?

I just heard about it last night, there are two a decent drive away from me that I will be watching, as they go down in percentages over the closing week ten percent, fifty percent, seventy percent then make and offer on the closing day

The lad on the radio bought a table and chairs for about forty pence each so bought four of them, he was saying a plumber bought all the stock left on the plumbing shelf for about thirty quid.

Bit sickening for the staff that worked there though

The one nearest to us has closed as well edited to say thats an awaful lot of stores, must be thousands of job's lost.....all those poor people

Even the Charity shops are closing local to me.
Able Kidz & Oxfam have closed recently,
the Hamelin Trust one is closing on 29th

Mind you that still leaves five open.

I was going to ask if they were still turning the closed shops in the High Streets into charity shops in the UK...

Not only are the charity shops closing, but a couple of pound shops have as well near us! The big holes in the high street are getting bigger

What you do not believe that "we are all in this together" that the government keep spouting?

I think by time this government finish half the country will be unemployed the other half will be foreigners from other European countries shipping their money directly back to their own countries to boost their own economy and look after their families.

I think you are supposed to call the ones next to you to find out more

I have not noticed a lot of closures but have noticed a lot of shuffling around of stores moving to new locations.

Also seems to be a lot of the bigger companies buying each other.
