    Default Free Webhosting!

    Hi,

Some of you may remember I posted a while back as I was looking for a web hosting company, after reading a forum quite a few people recommened this site: CLICK HERE (this is a referrall link but I get no commision or anything like that).

It is 100% FREE, you can use your own domain name or use one of theirs, there are no adverts on the webpage either.

I think it is ideal for some one who is just starting out and you can have online stores as well.

Just thought I would share it.

How does "free" work? Is there a cost involved in one way or another or do you get lots of ads appearing all the time? Or do you only get limits?

Only asking because I don't know anything about web hosting.

For instance it is free to list on ebid, but to get better sales you need to have gallery pictures.

    Hi,

    The limits are:

    DiskSpace: Unlimited
    Monthly Fee: $0
    Set Up Fee: $0
    Bandwidth: Unlimited

    Emails & FTP Accounts: Unlimited
    Max Hourly SQL Requests: 10,000
    Max Daily Uniques: 30,000

There are no costs involved that I have found but you can upgrade to the paid for hosting which gives you unlimited Max Hourly SQL Requests and Max Daily Uniques.

I set up a site the other day using an old domain name and no ads appear, I just though it was useful to share for any one looking at starting a web site as you do not need to purchase a domain name, you could use for example www vibroheaven.name of provider.com (it goes something like that).

Okay - foreign language started in paragraph 2 and 3.

What does "Max Hourly SQL" and "Max Daily Uniques" mean, please?

    SQL = Structured Query Language

I think Max Daily Uniques means visits on a page.

I signed up and was sent an email telling me how to set things up in my cpanel...only I have worked with a similar cpanel before and couldn't make head nor tail of it.

I think I might have to take an IT course before I can do anything with it.

I've had a website for the last couple of months and haven't a Scooby how to set the bliddy thing up properly. I do use the domain name though - it connects straight throught to my all about page, so at least I'm getting something for my dosh (and that was only about £7 for two years).

I've been using 'weebly' for a couple of years now and never been asked for a penny.
There is a facility for linking to paypal for payments.
If you want to look, google 'gyronny books weebly'
Took me about an hour to get the basics and I refined my knowledge over the next few weeks.
Like all websites, you really need to sit down with a pencil and paper working out what you want before you start, but alterationss are easy to make.
If I can get a site up and running, the average 3 year old could, I'm rubbish at this sort of thing.
