Hi, we are having another try at stopping smoking but this time with support, so this is day 1, I hope I don't make a fool of myself again, i felt so stupid and low for giving in last time.

Thanks Annie, I think i am going to need it, the patch fell off my arm already so I stuck it on my butt and am now walking round with an itchy butt

Hi Buttons , you are not making a fool of your self...you are trying to do something , that some people find very hard or impossible to do...just keep trying , as long as you want to stop , just keep at it...do not let that poisonous little stick get the upper hand ..you know there are plenty on here who wish you well..........papa.

Thank you Becky and Papa, this time I also have the help of my osteoporosis medicine as it's given me a terrible sore throat and the osteo doctor has asked me to give up as well or i will end up with more broken bones.

Listen sweetheart--You have nothing to feel stupid about. I have always prided myself in accomplishing whatever task I put my mind to--EXCEPT QUITTING SMOKING! I have tried many times, but always backslide. I am really jealous of people who say "I just put them down and quit" AArrrgggg! Maybe someday. Hang in there and don't give up. You are not alone in this.

Nicotine is more addictive than heroine. Giving up is really tough! Those who do it are very, very strong and not managing it first time is no disgrace. I've never smoked but I know this from physiologists my husband worked with in his last job.
