I think it is the VISA company doing their extra cautious double check of your password. When I order online using a UK VISA card, like from Tesco, I have to do that......don't think it has anything to do with eBid....just VISA verifying......that's my best guess

HI,thankyou for your reply, but i can get no satisfaction, because it is asking for my password, and it gives numbers 5th 6th and 13th,i have not got a clue what it is on about, any way thinking of closing the account, too much trouble trying to update card and upgrade to seller +lifetime.
The 3 5 and 7, or whatever numbers they put up, are the 3rd, 5th, and 7th letter or number or symbol of your password.......it's just a verification thing. You aren't giving your whole password again, just verifying for VISA. Don't give up.

HI, i have tried and tried this but it does not work.
in my messages it says i am verified and that they have taken £1.00 out of my account, but i can not log in,and update card,i have been trying for three hours now,and i have had enougth.
also i only have 10 words in my password, but they are now asking for 4th 7th and 13th,very confusing.
the only thing i can think it might be is the three digit security number on the back of the card.
but i do not want to try that, after all it is supposed to be my security card number.
HI AGAIN,i have just tried that security number, still not working,i shall go to the bank monday, because i have tried this so often reupdating my card,i think they have now taken £5.00 out of me.
The password you are being asked for is the password you set up with VIsa Verification through your bank and not the one you have on eBid. They are two separate passwords
I don't think eBid can take any money off your Visa card until you give the correct 5th 6th and 13th letters of your Visa Password

My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else
I agree with Tony.....my eBid password is different than credit card password. When you set up your Visa acct, you gave a password to use it online. IF, for example, my VISA password was 123heLpme1234567, then the verification they are looking for is e-L-4
they are not asking for the security code on the back of your card.

Poor old eBid. They must get tired of being blamed for the problems caused by other agencies.
The way you are talking, I am assuming you have not set up online or telephone banking with your bank, as Visa is assuming you have for some reason and it sounds like they have a password set up. This is nothing to do with ebid, as it is part of the Visa Security, as others have said.
Before you could just stick in the info on the card then someone realized the stupidity of that so decided, as most people use telephone or online banking then they would use that password.
I think when you go into your bank on Monday they will either allow you to add a security password or give you a number to call, so you can add one to the card system, or online or telephone banking systems.
