does this look like a scam to anyone else ???

A strikethrough on a username means the user is being investigated by support, it could be perfectly innocent (as ID verification) or not. I would contact support: support@ebid.net to get the full details.

It does sound a bit odd, but only support can tell you what's up with the user. I wouldn't send personal details (as phone number or physical address) though, at least not until you get an OK from support, IMHO better safe than sorry.

Scam - you never give your user name, phone number etc in order to pay someone on paypal.......the shipping agent coming to pick up is another common scam........I'd be VERY CAUTIOUS and only deal through eBid support on this.

I also note you did not mention that you wanted anyone to come to your place to pick up an item.......lots of alarm bells, to me

If you received this in an email then it's a scam.
Do NOT click on any links.

You always receive notification here on eBid and your email from eBid when you have made any sales. It is the seller who dictates shipping terms. Genuine buyers don't need to ask for Paypal details as they always have a Paypal button to click on in their invoices (if you offer Paypal as a payment option).

Yes its a scam, as everyone above says.

As Jeweleffects says you always get an email from ebid saying your item has sold !

(gee what is with all these scammers! - why don't they get a real job, instead of trying to rip people off!)
