Classic car parts

Ebay in their normal 'if it ain't broke, break it' mode have got rid of all the classic car part (by make) categories so it is now almost impossible to actually find anything, for example look for parts for a Renault 14 and it is swamped with listings for 14" wheels for other Renaults. This sort of thing is rightly causing a lot of anger in classic car forums, so now is the time to remind classic car enthusiasts that you can find classic car parts on Ebid. There aren't too many here at present, but this is an opportunity to boost listings and publicise the fact. Perhaps the management could help by tweaking the search so that classic car parts are shown at a higher level than now.

Dont know much about classic cars/parts, (except my Lexus is getting there age wise), though I can say the management/admin. here do listen to members and take care of their needs, hopefully they will take this into consideration as well.

gIt's probably a good idea too for those that visit any of the classic car forums and web site to mention ebid as many on these forums have never heard of it.
Ebid has a very poor selection of classic cars and parts on sale and its a huge potential market that for too lon has been dominated by the greed machine.

I just typed in search the same query for specific car parts and models as I did three months ago and got exactly the same half dozen items as last time,none of which are really relevant and all on run till sold or till hell freezes over,which ever comes first.(My moneys on hell freezing).

Yes, sold a bonnet badge for a P4 Rover almost as soon as I listed it. Haven't ever got around to listing anything else apart from sales brochures. Sold a fair few of them.

If you don't count the brochures, sold 20 of those in one go once.

Stuff has to be listed and stay listed for a while for people to learn that it's here. I searched for a bumper for a transit once and found one. I didn't buy it immediately, thought I'd leave it till later. When I came back a couple of weeks later the listing had been removed.

I have been selling classic car parts on ebay for over 10 years.

They have decided to not recognise classic cars, so many of us are looking for somewhere else to auction classic car parts.

Maybe Ebid can look at this, and maybe offer an incentive to attract ebayers over? Recognise feedback or something??
