I got mine for books (craft) & Collectables but not for my Vintage clothing
Vintage clothing is my main shop
Maybe its still being processed
Do they let you know if its refused & how do they let you know?

I did not use my real name / birth name on any of them
Thats what I find confusing should it be my
Birth name
user name
shop name?

It's your Store name that's asking for exemption - not your real name
The only way to find out if your store has got exemption is to check:Go to My eBid > My eBid Stores
Select a store to edit.
The GSID is just underneath the Delete Store button at top right. The GSID for your username is at the bottom right of My eBid > My Personal Details**Exempted stores/usernames are now shown next to the GSID**
Copy/pasted from Gazza's instructions in the News Forum/Google Shopping Updates thread.

Well, I just applied for exemption for my 2 stores. Hope I did it right.
I also went into each auction and added a brand if item was marked. Took a while but it's done.

So whats the best thing to do where S/H designer clothing is concerned
I have no barcode etc?
Seperate shop or amongst the others with a barcode added?.
Still no exemption on my Vintage clothing shop

I'm waiting on my exemptions as well, but just did them yesterday. Have no idea how long it takes.

I'm down to 2 listings left on google other than the exempted store
Apparently adding brands isn't enough for them
GS shopping results sorted by relevance gives irrelevant results any how
I can't believe too many people are going to continue to use GS with as bad as they have made it find things
Well I never got notice that my stores were exempted, but my items are showing up in Google shopping. So I guess I'm okay.

All five of my stores have an exemption but I don't understand what's going on. When I search on Google I find that nine out of ten items in my shops are no longer available and the auctions ended weeks ago. Does this mean we have to wait until Google does a scan looking for new listings and will pick up on the exemptions and if so how often does it do a scan? Haven't sold anything for a few weeks now where I would normally sell one or two items a week. Since all this Google exemption stuff started it's been dire. If things are as bad for everyone then I'm sure the boys at eBid must be noticing a fall in profits from selling fees.
