BTW.... I wrote 2 emails to TopTenReviews. about why they pulled ebid out of the comparison even though it got a glowing review which said it was "just barely nosed out by ebay" .... yup no responses from them. It would be great to find out if the day they pulled ebid off the review was the same day they started running paypal ads.

Not sure why, but I'm sensing that removal of a broader and more global icon from high position on site is not the way to go. Too many unanswered questions. Pulling "Top 10" totally without any investigation as to why the seismic shift occurred seems reactionary. I stated it did not really bother me initially, and it still doesn't bother me. It could use some tweeking to make it accurate and set eBid in a positive light.

I have noticed that structurally most corporation position their affiliate program link towards the bottom. It is not given pre-eminence to vision, and achievement. Just a thought, but I'm not bent out of shape no matter how it pans out.

This is what to expect when so-called buyer reviews accept advertising. It is a natural conflict of interest. BTW, you can still find the initial review by looking under discontinued items - right next to Yahoo Auctions! It really is too bad ebay paid off top10 to yank the review - because it really cast ebid in a great position for anyone reading it. Back in the good ole days you could count on retaliation for underhanded operations like this. There would have been a new website going up called topauctionsites.com that issued reviews to their liking. ;-)

At some point since September, they've obviously thought better of it, as I just went to look and ebid's back at the top with a column of its own in the comparison.
