I have just found a bag with old baby clothes, and I mean old. They belonged to my husband and myself. His are lovely dresses made from silk and very fine cotton with lace and embroidery, while mine are quite boring knitted cotton.
Do you think these are saleable? And if yes, as a bundle (or 2) or singly? I just can't make up my mind

Hi Meebo. Yes I would think they are sellable and I would put them on in bundles. I think they might sell better that way.

Thank you very much. I forgot to mention the ages: his are from 1948, made in Hongkong, mine are 1952 made in Germany - hence the difference in quality

Not following some of this, sorry. The clothes belonged to you and your husband and "his are lovely dresses". I can't determine when you say they were your and your husbands if these were clothings you wore as a child or aquired them through the years.
Just trying to determine the age. If they are older quality items I would list them seperately to acheive the biggest return. If they are not extremely old then maybe sell as packages to get rid of them quickly.

Bundle 1 the items from Hong Kong and the German as the 2nd bundle would be my thought.

It was the custom many years ago that boy babies wore dresses too until they reached a certain age. Guess it was easier for changing their nappies... Think it's only since the late '50s that boys started being dressed as boys right from the off

Meebo, we used to have some photos of my father and his brothers in dresses.

Can you research any of them because vintage clothing can make quite goodly sums. If you don't have time to research them I don't mind doing it for you.
