Thread: Ideas for promoting eBid

    Lightbulb Ideas for promoting eBid

Hi all, I know that we all want to promote eBid as much as possible so here's a few suggestions which may help.

If you have a Facebook account you can create a simple Poll by asking "Have you ever heard of eBid?" with the answers "Yes-No" or adding a few other answers of your own choice. From your Wall page, click the Home tab on the top right; on the left column click the Question link and create your Poll. Even the simplest mention may encourage people to google eBid.( FB won't allow you to use a URL in the Poll) Who knows maybe a few people may join up.

If you have a Twitter account. Regular tweets about your shops or even eBid news may draw people in. It's free advertising.

If you have your own website. Plenty of links to the eBid site or other shop owners may help to increase traffic on the site.

If anyone has some other ideas of how to advertise eBid please feel free to add here.

    Thanks,
    David

    3)Multiuser Blog:-Showcase your items. Cost-Free(I think)
4)Flyers-Sent with all your items, link to your shops, eBid etc. Cost-Paper, Ink. Return-More business
5)Word of Mouth- Says it all, yak to anyone that will listen. Cost-Possible hoarse voice. Return-More business.
6)Image Marketing:-Having eBid pictures and links in whatever advert you run.
    7)Craigslist:-Advertise your items, eBid etc.
8)eBid Packing Tape:- Instantly visible on all packages, even the Postman takes notice.
9)Youtube:-Create videos for anything eBid related, your shops, items etc. Cost-Free
10)Vizu Web Polls-Create Polls and plug eBid or your stuff. Cost-Free
    11)Flickr:-Photo sharing
12)Website:-Use your webspace to its full potential to market yourself and eBid.
12)eBid Forum:-Use the forum, sellers are buyers too and you may make a sale.

I hope that everyone takes at least something away from this thread and uses it to create some more business.

But please remember to write the whole URL - eBid.net - and not just eBid or people may end up at the wrong website.

If you need to write ebid.net on FB or any other website that restricts URL postings then leaving a space after the full stop normally does the trick. Eg: ebid. net

...or eBid can go into ebay's forums and put ads and links to eBid there. eBay does it here so why not?

Ways I have generated more interest in my listings:

I send a card in all my shipments with all URL'S linking to my sites.

I not only Tweet and Like my stores, I do the same for other stores I find intriguing! (Please remember it was a BOT that brought me to eBid).

I read and study other sellers blogs and web pages. I ask to be included on their page. I then push buttons to bring in the BOTS and let the world know.

This month I joined in the YDC Auctions. I am bidding on some amazing items! I also listed a very popular item from my arsenal!

I have braved the International shipping and opening my new listings worldwide.

I am supporting other sellers by purchasing items from them and sharing those items with the world by bringing in the bots. The Holidays are approaching at amazing speed and I am searching for items to fill my list here on eBid!

There are amazing happenings here on eBid and I feel challenged to share them.

Keep it positive and share with the world!

Yep….this is only way to go global and become ‘’premier auction site’’…but we need to pay for everything in here in advance and even more fees from eBay because we don’t have enough members to cover this and in other way TV commercials’ is much more expensive right now from time where eBay start heavy advertising before 6-7 years…so here we go…on other way we all can do what we can do in the past couple years in here where we promote own items and own stores promote too...and anybody can see right now where we here now and anybody can se where is eBay now…which way works better…AMEN…
