Were you expecting to be charged less than 1p per auction?

    Hi wgbps9,
    You sold 54 stamps, right?
You have been billed for £0.54p
    That is £0.01 per item.

I take it these were quite a few separate sales?
If all stamps had been sold and paid for altogether in one go - your fees should have been £0.2124

    54 items for £10.62 = £0.196666666p each

You would have been charged £1.06 if a FVF of 10% had been applied.

Did you wish eBid to start charging a halfpenny for each item with a value of £0.25, or a farthing for each item with a value of £0.125 ?
Do let us know how your stamps were purchased.

Oh, and well done on your 54 sales, keep up the good work !

    hi trish
I'm not whinging really .I'd just thought it would be simpler at the end of each month, what ever your total sales are in £.s..d-sorry-£.p charge 2%, it has now made me not to put a stamp on for less than 2d,Opened my e-bid store 2 month's ago, ticking over nicely not a millionair yet. Still love E-BID,
    good luck on your sales

I can see where wgbps9 is coming from..... what he is saying is that you charge a MINIMUM of 1p per sold item NOTa minimum of 2% as you can see from one of Maplegin's sales

Wed 19 Oct 2011 14:02:07 (GMT) item xxx Gallery Auction Based on BuyNow Price of £0.03 -0.01 (commission charged)

where as IF it was just 2% the fee would have been 0.006p

If I sell 50 cheap stamps at 3p in a month you will charge me 50p commission on £1.50 of sales with the current system.... If I sold the same 50 stamps and you took the commisson at the end of the month (on the total sales) you would only charge 3p( (50x3p =£1.50)(2% of £1.50 = 3p)

I'm not complaining Gazza, just pointing out what wgbps9 was saying..... I have to admit that Belgium site I list on does charge commission on the monthly total not per item, but they do charge 5% (so swings and roundabouts :-) )

:-) :-) and before anyone asks why we bother sell 3p stamps there are two reasons :-) :-)

    A) if I didn't list them they are dead stock and I would have to throw them out (and as Pam will tell you I hate throwing things out)

    B) you would be surprised how many people are missing "cheap" stamps from their collection which most stamp dealers wont list as it's not "worth their while" to list them
