Were a big business starting on ebid how do we sell!

Hi there guys,

we're a big business starting new routes of selling. At the moment we are on Ebay Amazon Play and have our own website. We do really really well off these.
I put some of our perfumes on (if you look at them you can see how cheap they are)
And as of yet sold nothing?
Whats the trick to selling on here?
Because it doesnt seem to be working for us and if it did it could be big.

You joined yesterday and have no sales ! lol! Take time to get to know the site. RUS (Run Until Sold) stays back of viewings lists. Better is 7 - 10 days auctions with 10 automatic reposts.
Help button (top right of any page) - great info there.

Do Avatar, Signature with link to your goodies, come into Forum (Buyers as well as Sellers here),
use the Plug your Auction Thread (see rules, once in 24 hours & delete old thread before starting new one)............

Self promote, Facebook, Twitter etc. Let old Buyers know where you are.

Your items have "sex" in the title, these are not uploaded to Google Shopping currently due to keyword filtering. It's something we've been working on for a while now and a fix will be uploadedin the next week or so.

Also make sure you add Brand and UPC/EAN/MPC to figure in product matches for similar products on GS.

Wow what a welcome to a new site ....

I consider 13K items per year on a n other site + other sites to be quite big.

Now even after my short time here I know that when sellers come and try out ebid, they can assume its just like the other place and do the same as they always have, and most wont bother asking for help and just leave.

I firmly beleve that no-one is ever too old or too experienced to ask for help and that they should be able to do so without getting replys such that. Its very easy to miss stuff on new sites and you have to adapt and ask for sometimes.

OP things are differant here from what your used to on the other place, the link in post 2 gives some very good advice. Good luck

Whatever you think - it was merely an observation, and the first thing that crossed my mind when I realised they had been here less than 24 hours.

Am all for folks coming in here and asking advice etc, but for someone to signup and wonder they havent had any sales in the first 24 hours is beyond me.

You have your opinion - I have mine.

I can see where this will lead, so am saying nothing else on this subject, and let you find someone else to agree or disagree with.

Cheaver's post has some excellent suggestions, if you work on these IMHO your items should sell, especially if they're priced competitively, though it's good to remember that eBid isn't yet as large/well known as eBay, so a bit of patience is a good thing.

Hallo and welcome to ebid.

Well yes, this site is a bit slower than ebay and such, because its not so well known, yet, but quite frankly its well worth using. Especially if listing a lot of things, and to be honest even on ebay I wouldnt expect to make sales the day after joining, if thats correct.

Having said that, sales do come, but on here its useful to promote your listings as much as you can,
add links to your main site, let people know via any social networks that you use, add barcodes and brandnames as much as possible to get your listings show up in Google Shopping, add a signature to your forum posts with a link to your store(s), keep your "about me" info up to date, use the "plug your items" section here on the forums, definitly do the 7 day auctions with 10 auto re-posts rather than "run until sold" option.
