Winthy says 'beautiful Winthy', 'have a nice day', 'cock a doodle doo' and always says 'hello' when the phone rings! He also says 'bug&er off' ... don't know who taught him that, wasn't me. He does a brilliant wolf whistle, and whistles the first bar of the 1812 overture!
I always used to watch Corrie (don't follow it any more) - but if he hears the music, he goes bananas, rushing up and down his cage and shrieking like mad! He is shouting for me to come and watch it.
He cracks me up, so funny!

No he can't talk properly but does try, we can understand bits, he wolf whistels, makes telephone noises, Barks and howls ( we had three dogs ) and there is also a funny little tune he sings but we don't know what it is, he also knocks on his seed pot and waits for you to knock back on something and then does it again and again and again...............usually while you are eating your tea / evening meal.

Had a freak accident with Shelly last night.She sleeps in the front room.Always down stairs when i'm around.When we are in and especially the grand-children i keep the heating on.When i'm at work knock the central heating off.Shelly then wonders up stairs.All the doors are closed .She lies on the landing.Slightly warmer.She is not daft.When i came in at 4.45 p.m.The Telephone was on the floor.Just thought Shelly had pulled it down.Then took her out immediately from work.Walked Briskly.Got back home then noticed a mark on her left fore-side off about 1.5 inches by 3/4 inches bare red.Fur wont grow back there.She layed down in her bed.Then i fully realiased what had happened.She had come down the stairs.Think she lost her footing on 2nd step from bottom.Collided with with corner of computor table,particurly hard.Unseated the land phone from the table fo that to land 4 ft away.Difficulty getting up from her bed.She walks slowly.I have to coax her out side gently.She performs Toilet duties outside sucessfully.Sniffing at the lamp posts ,the wall,the leaves.BUT walking very slow.I bet it traumatised her.Been to vets this morning.Remember she is coming up 17.The Vet said a chunck of flesh as come away with her fur.Possible chipped top front left shoulder.Thats where the fur is missing.She is eating and drinking.Feely a bit sorry for herself.But she will survive".But What A Freak Accident."

Hmmm - or maybe, as he appears to be a keen angler, he thought he had a caught a big one, and was disappointed to discover that it was a large bag of carrots someone had slung. Hence his outburst.

Another possible theory ... maybe he is on a diet?
