Really sad news. I admired Gary Speed as a player all throughout his career; to be able to play at a consistently high level right up to his 40th birthday spoke volumes for the man as a true professional. He clearly had great potential as a manager too.

One of those deaths that stops you in your tracks and makes you wonder, "why?". I had to do a double-take when my brother texted over the news earlier.
