I agree that it doesn't so much change as broaden.
I've been playing guitar for 40 years now and my playing broadens all the while as well.
I have to admit that at the minute Children Of Bodom, Dream Theater and Nightwish are the main bands I'm listening to.
Having said that I also listen to a lot of Mussorgsky, Classic Rock and eagerly await the next Shiny Toy Guns album.
I also love irish and Scandanavian folk and Jazz.
    So just anything really.

Not bad but I like the female vocals in my link at 2:50 , 4:40 and 5:20 to 5:50

    Also female vocals in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4Zg5...eature=related
at 1:00 onwards (name Vibeke Stene)

also Simone Simons of Epica: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf7Em...eature=related
    at 4:10 and 6:24 onwards

Both have classically trained voices, such a beautiful sound and especially the high notes they reach.
I remember everything, even what happened tomorrow.

Like so many others my likes have broadened. But with me it is the availability that has affected the change. Before the Beatles you didn't hear a lot of foreign pop / rock music in Germany, so it was a bit limited. Opera I like as long as it is not tragic.

There is a lot of great music out there today as well as all the old stuff. It's a shame if you're missing out on music you would probably really love. Just gotta look for it
