Now all you have to do is detail how to achieve that and have eBid still viable as a business by the end of it. If you have the answer then I'm sure eBid would love to hear it.

Glad I signed up for my Google+ account now. It's a shame Google are resorting to forcing people onto their system though.

Credit to you lode for reminding myself and many others of google+ when to be honest I had let it fall by the wayside.
Google seem to be using their heavyweight presence online to make Google+ a must have for online traders.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of this I will go with the flow and look to expand my google+ from now on.
Given that by the looks of it search results will have a lot to do with social interactivity it may pay us to initiate an Ebid circle on Google+ and add active members who would like to be a part of it.
Would be interested in other people's thoughts and suggestions regarding this.

I think the real answer to all of this visibility problem is to radically raise the profile of eBid, so that people come directly here as first or early choice, rather than go through the search engines.

Hear, hear! That would save Luddites like myself a whole lot of confusion. Maybe someone will figure this out soon.

. Google plus, for example, is a much better system than FB, but there's so much baggage invested in FB that people are, understandably, reluctant to move across.

First it was My Space (which I had a problem trying to figure out anyway)
Then came Facebook and people were reluctant to join up (most probably because they were used to My Space) - but then realized it was easier to navigate than My Space and so it expanded to megalithic proportions.
Now, it seems, the trend will move to Google+ and, no doubt, millions will eventually flock there also, creating a myriad of miscellaneous pages.
