Window closes
It has happened to me several times that in the middle of doing some Ebid listing work, Windows 7 closes without warning, saying that it is restarting the PC in order to start some new configuration it has downloaded.
I am sure there is a setting somewhere so I can make Windows load its new fixes when I start the PC
and NOT WHEN I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING
Anyone know how I locate the setting?

No clue here, (I use Vista), but that sounds like a major PITA. Hopefully someone who uses 7 will know.

Usually, I get a warning that the computer will re-start in ten minutes and an offer to postpone the shut down... It would only shut down without warning after an emergency update not a routine one...

Control Panel - System And Security - Windows Update - Change Settings.
In the dropdown box for Important updates choose:
Download updates but let me choose when to install them,
Click OK
That should sort it
