Ebid on Facebook

Well id seen it mentioned a few times that Ebid where advertising on Facebook, but never seen any sign of it and im on there like 100 times a day (sad I know)..lol But today.. there it is popping up every 5 mins.. ok its the US ebid.. but at least its there.. keep it up guys Facebook has an enormous following and im sure it will help with listings/buyers and sign up and interest in the site in general :P

Yes it's been coming up a lot recently.
Can't understand why it links to the US site, surely the main site would be a better idea.

Perhaps they thought it was more important to get into the "meat" of the selling side and show some meaningful content as soon as possible.

Now if only Facebook were more new user friendly, (i.e. not requesting everything from my name, address, phone number and blood type - details I don't share unless there's a valid reason, like a sale - I have an unlisted number for a reason), I'd be on it, something like Twitter.

Maybe in the next millennium.

Up until now I have avoided Facebook like the plague as it seems to be the root of numerous problems and rather then being a "social" network it seems to be the exact opposite. Does anyone actually find using it increases sales?

No idea, but it hasn't caused me any problems.

Well I also sell on Etsy.. and have noticed that 40% of my off site traffic comes from Facebook advertising.. impossible to say how much translates into sales without asking everyone.. so I can only see it as a good thing if Ebid Advertise there.

I've seen no eBid adverts on facebook - but maybe that's because they aren't appearing in France....????

I have found that both facebook and twitter have increased my veiws on items which have been link and i would say that most of the items i link for other site do sell quite quick.
