Hello again everyone, Well after much net access woes - 've haf pix' Yeah!
Although Bro & Sil are currently in Madurai, this group are the Trivandrum & surrounds photo's. Note: A lot of sites don't allow photography inside (unfortunately)
Again, split into several posts - hope ya like 'em!
BTW, the conditions in Madurai = 40c & very very humid at 86% - Tropical to say the least, almost like home.

#3 Shri Padmanabhaswamy Temple (260 years old - we weren't allowed in on account of being obvious heathens, says Bro)

#6 Indian Coffee House. (Inside is a circling path all the way to the top (no steps) with tables & chairs off to the side - poor waiters have to run up and down with orders all day.)

Veli Tourist Park, Trivandrum

#1 Along the boardwalk.
#2 After that - a cool drink is required.
#3 No high pressure selling here!
#4 Well I'll just feed the little birdies. (2 minutes later it was like a scene from Hitchcock's "The Birds" as the local crows tried to steal my Cheeseballs (uh-hem).
#5 The local band. (Drummers driving the crowd into a frenzy - no, really.)
#6 Frenzied crowd splashing hot oil all over their heads and backs. ( I love a good Ragaring)

In Madurai

#1 The Happy Travellers Not (It's 36 degrees and I've just found out the train carriage has no air-con!) On the train from Trivandrum to Madurai.
#2 Late arrival hotel Madurai & no hot water! (doin' his best Monty Python)
#3 At breakfast & pretending to read Hindi.
#4 Hotel restaurant. (ceiling like an upturned egg carton - but cool)
#5 Hotel foyer.
#6 At the net cafe. HEY - how did the guy behind me score a fan? (40 degrees at least & diesel fumes wafting in through the door from their generator parked outside. The 3rd PC I used could be made to work. Note to self: If still employed into the future, go to a cold place on your holidays you fool.)








May have more outside shots soon, otherwise its off to our next stop of Trichy on Monday.
