Kapaleeshwarar Temple: Dravidian style architecture, ie. crowded 3 dimentional carved figures.

#1 Just around the corner from our hotel, says Bro
    #2 Close-up carvings
#3 Guarded entrance ( by elephant & our travellers)
    #4 Ditto
#5 Congrats to the newly-weds visiting the temple
#6 Up on the roof - great song!

Marina Beach: 13klms of white sand where swimming is banned due to dangerous rips & unpredictable waves. Sunday nights the locals gather for the cool breeze & rides/stalls etc.
This area was badly affected by the 2004 tsunami.

#1 Auto rickshaw & driver, easy way to the beach
#2 Bro & Sil with possible rabies carrier behind at their feet?
#3 Better view of the rabies carrier (one in the shade that is)
#4 Lunch - man, is that chilli H.O.T. (Chappathy vegetable Kuruma, Sambar rice, Curd rice & pickle + an unusual salted chilli - all got a thumbs up)
#5 Set up for Sunday nights - care for a ride anyone?

LOL! These pix are amazing, especially the ones of the temple carvings, those artisans had some serious talent.

Really enjoying these, almost like being there, one of these centuries I just may be.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

One very happy chappie at Tiruvottiyur Chennai:

Remember Bro wasn't able to book a Royal Enfield bike factory tour? WELL
They took a chance & fronted the main gate in the hope they could sneak in! AND
With the help of 3 "rowdy, but good natured Irish guys" & the crossing of a palm with silver - they managed to get on the full tour. Yeah!!!
Non bike enthusiasts may find this post boring, but I can assure you this is a highlight of the trip for Bro.
Sil reckons this tour has been the best thing she's seen in Chennai & cool.

#1 Happy now that conning & bribery worked
#2 The eBid Tee has a new competitor
#3 A view inside the plant
#4 Wise words we could all use
#5 Bro wonders if he can get it past the main gate unseen?
#6 Some of the finished product (currently 75,000 per year)
#7 Sil sharing cap wearing duties
#8 A few trinkets from the factory store

    That looks really interesting.

The normal convention is that you do not underline something online or in a thread as it could be mistaken for a link.

    YOUR LINKS DO NOT WORK
