Mediterranean climate and Snow....

A Snow Day has been announced in tourist destination Split, Croatia.
"People here are used only to the Mediterranean climate’’…
It snows in Split only once every few years as the city’s Mediterranean climate makes snow there quite rare….
Last summer in here Stoke City play against Hajduk Split in UEFA Cup League and Split look like in that time...
But right now in today February 3.

Only ever been that way once. Stayed in Pula for 2 weeks, at the time it was part of Yugoslavia.
It was fantastic weather and a really friendly place although everything shut at 10pm if I remember rightly.
Biggest memory of my stay there though was sitting down to devour the biggest plate of Calamari I have ever seen in a gorgeous outside restaurant only to have the rest of the restaurant filled up by the Red Army complete with backpacks, guns and non-stop laughter in Russian.
I wish I had a photo but I homestly daren't take one at the time.
