    Default Bread makers

Does anyone still use theirs, are they any good, which one do you use, do you have to make the bread then put it into the breadmaker/baker or just put the ingrediants in

Might be looking for one but need it with a timer so that i can set it ect.

    anyone

Or are they one of these must have, use once then shove in the cupboard for ever

After reading all the reviews I came to the conclusion that the new Panasonic was the best one but I couldn't afford it so I didn't bother getting one as i would not have been happy with any other, unless someone gives me one that is

I use mine every week. I buy the prepared just add water mixes and the bread is hot, fresh and yummy. Its a Morphy Richards but i dont know the model. you can put the ingredients in at night and set the tier to wake up to fresh bread in the morning. it also has a stay warm facility.

I used to use my Panasonic all the time, but moved a few times and changed kitchens and wotnot, during which time it got given to BF at the time, and as far as I know he still uses it constantly. Bro' got a Lakeland own last year and uses it every week. I make all my bread by hand now, which produces better and more varied/imaginative results but is a lot more work.

Thats what I'm worried about madeline, buying one and not really using it.

I had thought of buying the Mix Kim and doing it by hand but then as I dont get in till gone 5 sometimes not till 6.45pm rather late for me to start making it (what with everything else that has to be done) so then turned my thoughts to a breadmaker

When I had my machine I was a more standard 9 to 5er and it certainly helped. You can, even if you do it yourself, make the dough at night and bake in the morning, of course. That might work for you. p.s. don't see the point in mixes, so expensive and you can buy the ingredients in any supermarket.

All the time - mine came from Lidl and in France they are in the shop today. Don't know about Lidl UK - worth a look - sometimes the catalogues correspond - sometimes not!

Edited to say - it looks like the machine arrives next Monday for you!

    Yes I agree with Kim.
I know there was another thread about this some months ago and was meant to post photos of my own bread just to prove even from basics you can still get the loaves.
I dont have a proper loaf tin any more, but always used to make all sorts of other shapes in any case. B
But you can even use just the basic pie tins you get pies in at supermarket.
Bread does not take that long to do by hand when you get into the swing of it, it is the proving that takes longest.
Well here are the belated photos of my hand made bread anyhow.
