Thread: Do you post your new listings to facebook?

Default Do you post your new listings to facebook?

just wondering what you all do. I just listed 3 new items and added "like" to post on facebook for the first time ever.
Do any of you other sellers do this and have you attracted buyers this way?

I have never linked lisitngs to Facebook.

I reckon that my friends and family would quickly get bored of my Ebid listings, but it could just be that I don't understand Facebook!

I usually post items that are unique or unusual or that I think may be popular. I really don't think anyone should dismiss the power of the social networking/social media phenomenon. I'm getting long in the tooth, but i don't ever remember anything that could allow you to have as much exposure of a product for free. If you asked each of your friends and family members to share your auction postings with their circle of friends and they in turn asked the same of their friends , that would increase the number of persons looking at your auction(s) many, many fold.

I set my Facebook up so it works for marketing...I added myself to one of the most popular games that has over 5 million players.

I now have over 1500 people to share my links with.

I have also set up a business page which I add the ebid links to.

Having a business page means it gets picked up in a Facebook search so people who aren't on my friend list can also see it.

I saw an add for shops on there...but they are only free for a while and I wonder if they will be worth paying for...if they can be linked back to eBid I might give it a go.
