I think it's interesting how this works (hence my blog). I've had another example of the various faces of pimping on social networks yesterday... boss in the book shop posted a pic of a book we've had in the shop since late last year that hasn't sold. We and some of our friends on FB had a brief conversation about it, since it's an interesting item... two of my friends said they'd like to buy it and it's now going to be shipped to Canada. So as I've said before "hey, buy my stuff" doesn't get you anywhere, but an interesting post that promotes an actual conversation... bingo.

Don't use Facebook, but I do twit from time to time. Not sure if it's helped with sales, but it's easy to do and it is exposure.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

i do post occaisionally on my facebook feed but its more to do with the actual shop than individual listings, but I can see how starting it for a conversation might work so I will have a look at that as well

I have a FB phobia and I don't know why. I suppose it's being scared of the unknown. In saying that none of us knew how to use a pc 30 years ago.

kimbo - didn't you write a piece on how to set up a facebook page? I read the link above and I still didn't understand.

edit - ignore the above LOL - I set up a fb page sometime ago and decided to get to grips with it after typing this post. So in answer to sparkdeco's question, I'm going to give it a try asap.
