This has been a looonnnggg day. Up at 6:30 am to take Onika to the vet's for her cosmetic surgery. She had a fat glob on her left shoulder and I thought it was inhibiting her movements, so I scheduled her for "liposuction" he he. Then went to the grocery store, because you might as well as long as you are in Pine. Home by 9:00, Vet called to see if she had any meds today - no. They called back at 10, she was awake and comfortable. She has to stay overnight because of her age. Put away groceries and made breakfast - hamburger, yum! Then made bread and banana bread. Packaged up 2 packages and went to the post office. Worked on computer for awhile, then took some banana bread over to Scott. Then just been goofing off and it isn't even 6:30 pm yet. House is vewy quiet.
I YDC, Do you?
Wyo!!!
Do you need my address to send that Banana bread?
Good Morning Everybody.Wall To Wall Sunshine Already.cheers Tony
Good morning.
Wyo, you have a busy life!
Me, I had a lazy day yesterday,
I wish I could ventilate my flat efficiently, the only door I could open is at the bottom of the stairs and out of my vision, who knows what would come in.
If I open my windows wide, I get the herbal fumes from the ground floor flat plus the music and voices. My cooling fan packed in at 9pm last night, I was unbelievably hot. In the room where I have my PC the temp was at 85F/30C and rising. So the sitting at the PC was a no no.
I went for a walk just to try and keep cool and view the wildlife, the only thing moving was the traffic. I got home, had a cool drink and went to bed early.
Luckily when I placed my grocery shopping with Tesco for home delivery I added a new fan to the list, spooky eh!
Delivery due between 9-10am. It's creeping up to 85F now!
It feels tropical, so how about a tropical version of Free Fallin'..

Liked that Graham.
Did I hear that magic word 'tropical'?
Certainly tropical climes here, hot and fairly humid - best make the most of it as rain is forecast over the next few days.
Poor Pos, how miserable for you being enclosed in your pad with no fresh air. I hope you manage to get a new place with maybe a small garden or a balcony, so you can enjoy the great outdoors a little more. Thanks for the choon, very relaxing.
Wyo, hope Onika is rallying around well after her surgery, and is able to leap about like a spring lamb! (Erm, any banana bread going spare? )
Still keeping everything crossed for you Sues - hope you get good news today.
My back injury seems to be a little better, still darned painful, especially when I get up from a chair. Luckily, Dom and Laura are having a little holiday in Brighton, so I haven't got Isla tomorrow. I don't think I could manage lifting her and chasing her about just yet! Next shift is Monday, which is a busy day as YDC ends, and I shall be needing to send out the packages. I will see how I cope.
Talking of YDC - I'm off to do a little pimping and to see if there are any ticks I can nick!
Catch you all later ....
Oh, nearly forgot the coffee ...
Yay, coffeee
My delivery arrived at 9.30, but, no fan!
Tescos had run out of stock, not surprising really.
So, I set about to repair the fan, I managed to fix it with..... mouthwash !!!
I stripped it down, took the motor apart to get to the cause. The motor was seized.
I took it apart and found baked lubricant on the shaft (ooo eeerrrr).
I needed to clean it off with an alcohol based cleaner, of course I don't have any.
I then thought about what I had with alcohol in it, eureka! mouthwash!
Cleaned parts with mouthwash on a cotton bud, got the shaft moving freely in the bearing, lubricated it and rebuilt the fan.
It's better than ever, really shifting the air through the room now.
Saved myself £20.00, I am very, very happy.
Well, until they wake up in the flat below and start on the wacky backy.
Now for another tropical choon...

Oh, I'm loving this tropical theme! Great!
Well done Pos, I doff my hat to you sir, upon successfully repairing the fan.
You sure are a handy bloke to have around
(wonders whether to turf out JR and offer his room to Graham)!
Now, still on the tropical theme, here is a choon that drove my kids nuts, once you hear it you can't get it out of your head!
I lurvv it!
