Good morning

Wet here too.

I am back after a little health issue followed by my computer going bang last Friday.

Yesterday afternoon I started to get everything ready to bake a cake, got all the ingredients ready, flicked the oven socket switch on the wall and BANG off went the electrics!
I'll be honest I had a bit of a fright and it took me a short while to gather my composure and comprehend what had happened.
The circuit breakers in the main consumer unit had all tripped off and cut the power to all my sockets.
I disconnected the cooker from the wall outlet and reset all the breakers again, everything back on again.
I now have a defunct oven in my kitchen
I will strip it down later and investigate the cause of its failure. I guess it won't be repairable, or I just might be looking for an excuse to justify buying an up-to-date oven

My PC internal power supply had failed on , it arrived yesterday afternoon, so I fitted the upgraded power supply into my PC yesterday evening.
Luckily, I build my own computers and did not have to pay anyone to do it.

I am still doing renovation work on my small palace, but not very quickly. I've got plenty of time to do it so I can do it at my own pace.

Sissie Cyclops signing in! (Yep, still only got one eye that can see reasonably well - roll on 22nd May when I have next hospital appointment - for pre-assesment surgery)

Well It's an absolutely beautiful evening - the vile winds from North/East have died down, the sun is shining, the bird-song is just amazing.
I have a pair of ring necked doves rearing young in my largest palm tree, the natural wild hedge at the bottom of my garden is alive with nesting birds, sparrows, blackbirds, robins and a pair of Siskins in my little nesting box in the lilac tree - I was hoping a pair of Blue-tits would have moved into this des res, but I guess the Siskins beat them to it!

Pos, good to hear from you me duck, sorry to hear about your bad luck with the electrics - hope you get fixed up soon,
especially with your oven - we can't be having you doing without your Sunday roast!

Old, hope the flash floods didn't materialise and cause any grief to you guys down under - keep safe, dry and warm x

Rebecca, how lovely that you popped in to say hello, a huge welcome from everyone here in the cocktail and music lounge - apart from morning coffee, do you have a special drink that you like?
We are a bit short on bar staff at the moment, but I'm sure that you will be catered for, should you ask!

Wyo - how's things? Glad to hear Princess O is recovered from her 'fragrant' spell! Hope you manage to sort out those tenants in your Cheyenne property - when JR and I had property we also had problems with rent collecting, so I know of your frustration.
