Happy new year everyone, glad to kick 2021 year out of my life!.

Let's hope that we can get out of this Covid nightmare this year.

A song of hope for us to share whether you are isolating or not.

Being a Scouser this song has many different meanings to me, it was a favourite of my mum.
She wanted it played at her funeral, which we did, she died Jan 4th 2012.

    Stay safe and take care,
    Pos.

Oh Pos, I'm sitting here sobbing...
That was so emotional, I just love
André Rieu. What an absolute maestro, such a pleasure to watch and listen to. Thank-you for sharing x.

Well, last night didn't go as planned. We both fell asleep watching tv, and were rudely awakened by the phone ringing just after midnight. (It was son Dominic wishing us Happy New Year!) My bro phoned a few minutes later, then one of my sisters. TBH, all I wanted to do was go to bed!
All five of my kids have phoned today, my eardrums have taken a bashing with hearing different renditions of Happy New Year songs.
My vocal chords are dry and strained with yapping - I think a few glasses of

    may well help!

Penni, hope you enjoyed Hogmanay, books - did you wear your kilt whilst piping in the new year?
Police, sorry to hear about your car accident, but happy that this year is looking good for you.
I hope that you do eventually find another Siamese Tiger pussycat to ease the pain of losing Blue.

Now - where is WYO? Check in gal - we miss you!

Aww mooney, I feel for you. My mum also had to be admitted to a care home due to Alzheimer's. It broke our hearts to see our mum ending up in such an awful state. She would still be here now if that rotten disease hadn't taken her. Enjoy your memories of your time spent with her, as I, and so many others do. Sending you (and Billy) hugs (((xxx)))

Well, it's very quiet here in the cocktail lounge. Where is everbody?
Good choices of choons books, hope you had a lovely beginning to the new year.

Ole JR and I are plodding on, most of our family have had or now got Covid. They have all been jabbed, so no-one hospitalised, thankfully.
We have managed to stay clear so far, we don't go out and the kids have all produced negative result tests before they visit us.
Not sure how long we can escape it though, here the infections are high.

Can you believe it - we haven't had our Sunday roast yet?! We have got lamb shanks slowly cooking in the oven, I have prepared the veg, but JR is glued to the one eyed aide of Morpheus - blerdy football .... drives me nuts.

All I can say now is that I do hope all cocktailers are well, but I'm worrying over our dear pal Wyo.

I now know that our dear friend/landlord and starter of this thread adruml has passed, a couple of years ago.
Al, if you see this from your resting place - I for one have missed you very much. You were a friend, so funny, and we all loved you to bits.
You loved a Tequila, and also this choon opened the thread ....

Such sad news about Al & Wyo two friends who I never met in person but will always consider them to have been friends.

    I always enjoyed Al's posts as I did Wyo's.

    Keep well everyone else.

Now that is tragic news. Gosh. No more words. Al was so positive, and Wyo so talented and chatty. I had looked forward to meeting her one day - she wasn't far from where my girls live. I have one of her wonderful crocheted hot pads hanging on my wall - it has 3-D violets....so pretty. What a shock.
    Ta-Ta for now!
